Coach Strickler joins Hanahan High School as the new Head Cheer Coach, bringing a strong background in education, leadership, and competitive cheer. Originally from Apex, North Carolina, she has been teaching physical education at Hanahan since 2022 and has quickly become a valued part of the school community.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and her master’s degree in Physical and Health Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Before moving to Charleston, she began her teaching career in Apex as an elementary physical education teacher.
Coach Strickler brings 15 years of cheer experience, including competitive, middle school, high school, and collegiate cheer at North Carolina State. Her accomplishments include multiple county championships, a conference championship, a 2014 high school state championship, and a collegiate national title in the Game Day division in 2018.
Her experience, passion for student-athletes, and commitment to excellence make her a tremendous addition to Hanahan Athletics, and we are excited to welcome her as the leader of our cheer program.
