Hanahan Hawks Unite to Support the Community Through the Shining Light Program – 2025
During the 2025 holiday season, Hanahan High School student-athletes once again demonstrated that being a Hawk means more than competing on the field or court. Through their participation in the Shining Light program, our athletes came together to support families in our community and make a meaningful impact during a special time of year.
Athletes representing multiple sports worked collectively to sponsor children and families, thoughtfully selecting and wrapping gifts to help ensure a joyful holiday season. This effort reflected the teamwork, leadership, and service mindset that defines Hanahan athletics.
Several teams went above and beyond by assembling larger items, including bicycles, so that gifts were ready for immediate use. These actions showed intentional care and consideration for the families served, many of whom rely on the generosity of programs like Shining Light to make the holidays brighter.
The 2025 Shining Light initiative was a powerful reminder of the positive influence our student-athletes have beyond competition. Their willingness to serve reinforced the strong connection between Hanahan High School athletics and the community we proudly represent.
