Our 6th-grade artists are stepping into the role of game designers! This unit challenges students to think critically about "playability" while mastering graphic design and 3D construction. From drafting original rules to making custom game pieces, students are learning that great art isn't just looked at—it’s experienced. Keep an eye out for these finished prototypes; they are as fun to play as they were to build!

WVM is in need of volunteers for our Teacher Appreciation Week duty free lunch on May 1.

Our 8th grade Social Studies students been hard at work taking a deep dive into history, creating some truly impressive South Carolina historical timelines!

They didn’t just list dates, they connected key moments in South Carolina's journey to major events in American history, illustrating how our state helped shape the nation. It’s fantastic to see them engaging so deeply with the material and learning how our area is pivotal in American history.

We are thrilled to share that both Westview Elementary School and Westview Middle School have been recognized as state "Learning Labs" by the South Carolina Department of Education! 🌟

This prestigious designation is part of the state’s Collective Leadership Initiative. It highlights these schools as top-tier models for cultivating teacher-leadership, fostering student success, and implementing effective educational strategies. Teachers and administrators from across South Carolina will now be visiting our schools to learn from the incredible work happening right here in our backyard.

A massive congratulations to the dedicated administrators, teachers, and staff at both schools. Your hard work, passion, and commitment to excellence are truly making a difference for our students every day. You make our community proud!

Let’s hear it for our amazing educators—drop a comment below to send them some well-deserved congratulations!
