We have some very exciting news! Our rockstar band director, Mr. Ronnie Ward has been nominated for the Manilow Music Teacher Award. This award honors outstanding music teachers who help to bring music to life for their students. The Manilow Music Teacher Award winner receives $10,000 in support—$5,000 in cash and $5,000 in “Manilow Bucks” to purchase instruments for their classroom. Mrs. Calvin's 8th grade robotics class took flight yesterday in their drone programming and fight lesson. Students teamed up to code a flight pattern for their drones to lift off and land on a specific point. Thanks to Mr. Cate and Mrs. Fernandez from the BCSD Innovation Team for helping!
