The Knights Athletic Booster club established this scholarship to provide financial assistance to student-athletes to further their education at a 2-year or 4-year college or university. Below are the eligibility requirements and guidelines for this scholarship.
Eligibility:
● Applicants must be a senior student-athlete graduating in 2026.
● Applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
● Applicants must be accepted to a 2-year or 4-year college or university and must present a letter of acceptance when submitting their scholarship application.
● Applicants must not be the recipient of a full-tuition scholarship.
● Applicants must fill out the scholarship application in full and attach any required documents.
● Applicants must be open to meeting with the Booster Club committee if necessary. ● Applicants must turn their applications in by April 10, 2026.
● Applicants must be in good standing with the school board and administration.
Guidelines:
● Scholarship applications are due by April 10, 2026.
● One scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded to a female student-athlete and one of $1,500 to a male student-athlete at the discretion of the Knights Athletic Booster Club.
● Scholarship checks will be made payable to the student-athlete.
● Scholarships will be awarded at the Awards Banquet held at the end of the school year.
● Scholarships are one-time and non-renewable.
● Any major violation of the discipline code over the four years at Stratford may disqualify the candidate. Violations may include destruction of property, abuse of alcohol or drugs, any other criminal activity, and any offense where expulsion or alternative school is recommended.
● Additionally, frequent unexcused absences or tardiness may result in disqualification.
