Happy Assistant Principal Week to our AMAZING Assistant Principal Mr. J (Jashienski). In fact, Mrs. Barnes class surprised him today with a "Nacho Average AP" poster and some of his favorite snacks. He is definitely loved here (with or without hair) and we can't imagine Nexton Elementary without him.

Hello Explorers, In the Wednesday Folders, each student was given a Spring Break Academic Challenge packet. For every student that completes the packet, they will receive a wonderful prize/treat. This is not mandatory, but we love to give parents the opportunities to work with their children to continue to build upon the educational partnership. Parents are a valuable piece of academic success of their child and working together will be so beneficial for them. This is due by Wednesday, April 23rd. If you did not receive a packet, please let us know Happy Spring Break!!!

Good Morning Nexton Parents, Administration has seen and increase in conflicts and behaviors at school between students in our upper grades. Most conversations with students has involved the words "Group Chat", "Tik Tok", "Snapchat", and "Instagram". Majority of the conflicts have been a result of students at Nexton Elementary speaking poorly about each other, making posts, and being hurtful on their electronics (outside of school). This is disappointing to administration because it is causing division amongst our student body and is taking away from learning. Nexton Elementary has always had such a great pride of being positive, loving, and understanding of and to each other. We are diligently working to prevent any further issues that will take away from the reason why students are in school, which is "to facilitate and support student-driven learning experiences by unleashing the power and potential of education". We are asking for your parental support because " it takes a village". There will be a Social Media Informational Night in three weeks, it is highly recommended to attend because students are growing at a faster rate with using social media for good and for bad. This session will have a Q&A section to answer all concerns. • Cane Bay High School o Date: April 23, 2025 o Time: 6:30 – 7:30 pm Or visit the website for other dates and locations: https://www.bcsdschools.net/article/2105758 As Always, GO EXPLORERS!!!!!
