We want to say THANK YOU to all of our families that helped your student complete their Thanksgiving Challenge that was sent home! Students received their prize today and they were very excited! A Winter Break Challenge packet will be sent home on the last full day of school before break, December 20th. If students bring it back completed they will get another prize in January! Packets are due January 5th!
These are optional and just a fun way to help students stay engaged with their learning over a long break.

Good Afternoon, Nexton Elementary is hosting their combined PTA and School Improvement Council Meeting on Thursday in the Media Center at 2:30. You may attend in-person or virtually. We will discuss the upcoming events being hosted by PTA. We will also get to meet our newly elected S.I.C. leaders. The 2022 Nexton School Report Card and 5-Year School Renewal Plan will be reviewed.

Cane Bay High School is hosting a parade and festival on December 2nd. The parade will begin at 11:00am. Cane Bay High is also looking for vendors and need groups to join the parade. We are ONE community and ONE family!!!! Please save the date...we will see you then. Go Cobras!!!!

Happy Halloween


Students may wear costumes on Halloween, however, please make sure of the following: No scary costumes, no masks or full face paint, no weapons of any kind. Students need to be able to wear their costume all day without needing to change. Please also make sure their shoes are appropriate for school.

It's finally here!! Reading Night is TONIGHT from 5-7!! We will have pizza for sale, Kona Ice, Book Fair, Games, Pumpkin Auction, and FREE Books for students!!! Pumpkin Auction will close at 6:30. We can't wait to see everyone!!!!


Nexton Elementary School is proud to announce the President, Vice President, and Secretary for the 2023-2024 School Improvement Council. Cara Ward was elected as President, Maggie Oaks-Ermis was elected as Vice President, and Allison Embrey was elected as Secretary. We are so excited to have this newly elected board and know that "the sky's the limit". Congratulations!!!!

There will be two alternative certification info sessions for prospective teachers. The first session will be held virtually on October 18 at 6 p.m., and the second will be on November 1 at 4:30 p.m. at our main office in Moncks Corner.
