The final Craft Corner gathering of the year was a blast! Students were able to choose a new book to go with the watercolor bookmarks they made. And then...they had cupcake wars! A creative shout-out goes to 3 extra special cupcakes designers: Sophia (Candy Taco), Jacqueline (Cookie Monster), and Bristol (Monsters Inc). As always, Mrs. Courtney and Mrs. Fisher were amazed with the students' creativity.

Our school social workers do a tremendous job supporting our students! The pearls of wisdom they provide to our school communities are invaluable. Be sure to thank a school social worker this week for the difference they make in BCSD! #SSWWeek2024 #makingapositivedifference

February's Library Club was small but fun! Students enjoyed building with "Stackin' Stix," solving brain teaser puzzles, playing "Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza," and working on homework. The next Library Club meets Monday, March 18th.

Congratulations to our students who completed the 2023-2024 Monarch Reading Challenge! They read a minimum of 3 South Carolina Junior Book Award nominees and completed the required documentation. They were invited to vote for their favorite nominee and enjoy some treats and prizes. Mrs. Courtney and Mrs. Fisher are super proud of these readers and look forward to next year's challenge.
