We are super proud to annouce that HMS has earned the SCBDA Outstanding Performance Award for the 23-24 school year. This is the highest award given to a band program in the state of South Carolina, and a testament to Mr. North's "heart and hustle" that he puts into his program daily. Go Hawks!
Tomorrow (May 7), from 4:30-6:30, we will be at Hanahan Middle School to assist Multi-Lingual families with returning student registration.

Congratulations to Mrs. Roberson for being selected as Staffulty of the Month for April!!! She does so much for our school (much of it behind the scenes)!! She is an exceptional leader and respects and values her students and staffulty members! We are lucky to have her at HMS. This week was also Principal Appreciation Day!! She is very much appreciated for all that she does!! Thank you to Amici's Italian Bistro for sponsoring our Staffulty of the Month program!!

HMS Student Council is partnering up with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to raise money. Our school’s goal is $2000. The fundraiser will run from Monday, April 15th to Friday, May 3rd. Coins, cash, checks (made out to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) and online donations are encouraged. If your child attends HMS, there will be a homeroom competition to see who raises the most amount of money. Every donation is greatly appreciated and will help this wonderful cause!
Tickets for our 8th Grade Dance are available for purchase this week at lunch (through Monday, May 6)!!! Permission forms went home last week. Help us make this FIRST EVER 8th grade dance a success!!
