Friday was a fairy tale ending to the school week for Howe Hall AIMS’s kindergarten students.
Parents were invited out to the school for a “Fairy Tale Ball” with Katherine Bailey and Victorian Holladay’s kindergartners. All the students were dressed up as prince and princesses – complete with crowns and tiaras – and a special added bonus was having the parents participate in the dancing. VIEW PHOTOS.
This was Howe Hall AIMS’s last project with an artist-in-residence for the school year. The kindergartners worked with Jordan Giancursio, a dance instructor from Engaging Creative Minds, to put on the performance.
The event started off with a video presentation of “The Prince, Princess, and the Dragon,” narrated by the kindergarten students.
Bailey’s students then took the stage to perform a waltz to music from the movie “Tangled” for the audience. Their parents were then brought on stage for a quick dance with their children. Holladay’s class then followed suit, performing the waltz to music from “Brave” before twirling around with their parents.
All the students came together to do a circle dance on stage before the parents were invited to their classrooms for a reception.
