Boys' Head Coach Chaquain Boone

Coach Chaquain Boone, born and raised in Cross, South Carolina, embarked on his coaching journey as an assistant coach at Fort Dorchester High School in 2013. His first taste of head coaching came in 2017 when he took charge of the Fort Dorchester B-team. In 2018, he transitioned to Woodland High School, where he served as the head Varsity assistant and head JV basketball coach. His dedication and expertise led him to secure his dream job as the head basketball coach at Cross High School in 2021. Throughout his career, Coach Boone has achieved remarkable milestones. Notably, he guided the basketball program to the lower state finals in the 2023-2024 season. His exceptional coaching abilities were recognized with the prestigious Region Coaches Choice award and the Post & Courier Coach of the Year award. He currently has a record of 70-40 as the head coach at Cross High School.
